Every way you turn this gem there is an explosion of red among blue and a small amount of green. The camera sadly does not pick up the depth of red. The area on the photos that looks orange/red are more a blood red colour. This opal is classified as a Lightning Ridge black opal. Petite stone perfect for a ring or smaller pendant. Weighs 4.2ct and measures 16.9 x 9.7 x 3.9.
